The portraits shown above are loose concept artworks designed to capture the mood, color, and feel of each character, rather than finalized designs. I focused on expressing the essence of their personalities rather than intricate details like clothing or accessories (except for Kaiser and Sapphire's character sheets). The semi-realistic anime art style is meant to be a starting point, but you're free to imagine the characters however you like as you experience the story!
I painted both Kaiser and Sapphire with their full character design. I'll need them for some games I'm working on, so I figured I'd add them here too :)
For anyone curious, Genesis is set in a high fantasy world in a post-modern era, where the world is reverting to tradition. So the Xavier fashion blends a lot of tribal and native motifs together with modern clothing — mostly why I used an earthy palette. I can go on and on about Xavier fashion, but yeah. Same for Sapphire — the Caspecorgians, and specifically the Secrofantazia clan, wear a blend of contemporary and traditional. I spent a lot of time on these. Hope you all enjoy them!
